"In order for our children to receive the maximum benefit of our education system, we must provide them with not only a supportive learning environment but  one that encourages their personal growth"

"Good character is not formed in a week or a month. It is created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good character." ~ Heraclitus.

My Goal And Vision

I have been honored to serve on the Pontiac Public Schools Board of Education for seven years, and am currently the President. In this role, I have been dedicated to serving the entire community in a respectful, civil, and thoughtful manner. In doing so, I have come to recognize our many strengths and areas where we may improve. I now aspire to put that knowledge to work at the state level.  I am committed to addressing issues of both great importance to the residents in District 29, but also the State of Michigan as a whole.

Naturally, I will continue a focus on equitable and well-designed school funding, rich education programs, improving and enhancing workforce development, vocational-technical education and training, expanding apprenticeships in viable occupations, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in schools and throughout our communities. I plan to include focusing on programs for our veterans, our seniors, and our homeless.

At the same time, it is important to address the shortcomings in our state's infrastructure, including the availability and distribution of fresh water, updated and smooth roads and highways, structurally-safe bridges, and modern well-equipped airports. These issues are critical not only for the state to remain competitive nationally and in business, but also to solidify the quality of life for our citizens.
